Environmentally sound is what we do every single day:

At BGS, we: * buy post-consumer recycled products wherever possible (copy paper, plastic) * recycle ALL of our paper and cardboard waste * use only recycled and
recyclable Styrofoam * have reduced our weekly trash load to only one bag per week (it’s easy, you should try it!) * replaced incandescent bulbs with CFLs * are working to reduce our “carbon footprint” to zero * are helping our customers help the environment by planting 15 trees for every 10 orders they place * our President sits on the Environmental Committee of the City Council of Kent, Ohio * and lots more!

Environmental ReLeaf: Our latest program for the environment

Environmental "ReLeaf" is a leafy way to environmental relief - yep, like fixing global warming. When a tree is planted anywhere in the world, it eliminates up to 1 million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere over its lifetime.

When you order from us, we’ll plant trees in your name with American Forest.

You may have noticed we care a lot about the environment (see the list at left of the things we do every day). Now, with every ten orders you place with us, regardless of size, we’ll plant fifteen trees in your name through American Forest, the nation’s oldest non-profit citizens conservation organization (www.americanforest.org). We’ll also send you a certificate of your planting, and list your business name in our Re-Leaf campaign roster on this page.

With more and more people realizing the critical need to reduce their impact on the environment, we thought we could lend a hand - and help you lend a hand too (without lifting a finger - except to call us, of course!)
